Dakshinkali Temple is situated 22 kilometers away from the capital Kathmandu in the southern region. This temple is also called Kali Devi Temple. The temple was constructed by King Pratap Malla. This temple decorated with greenery all around is located at the confluence of two rivers. The temple has statues of Goddess Kali along with other gods and goddesses.

It is said that kings also used to come here every year in the month of Baishakh to celebrate their Dewali. Thousands of devotees come to the temple annually to fulfill their wishes. A special fair is organized during Dashain. During the nine nights of Dashain, many devotees sacrifice ducks, roosters, buffaloes, and goats. This temple is rich from religious and cultural perspectives.
